In this blast from the past, Senator Cruz warns the Senate and Conservatives that we should expect what we get if they vote to confirm Lynch. They did, of course. Salient words in hindsight, especially given that she’s now gone on record saying she’d like to prosecute speech against Islam and the Muslim faith. From C-Span (2/26/15):

Earlier today, the Texas Republican laid out his case for voting against the nomination of Loretta Lynch to succeed Eric Holder as attorney general. “When a nominee for attorney general cannot identify whatsoever in the authority of the president, then each of us is on notice. She has told us her views. These views are radical. These views undermine the rule of law,” Senator Cruz said. The Judiciary Committee later approved her nomination 12-8 and sent it to the full Senate for consideration. A vote could come as early as next week.
